Katsolo's Journal, 22 November 2019

Trying something a little different for a couple of weeks. Before coffee or food, 1 tsp (teaspoon, not tablespoon) of good quality olive oil in the morning. My skin is super dry (hello, eczema!), and a friend swears by this (good Italian girl) and it's good for me anyways. I already drink a lot of water, so it's not that I'm dehydrated. That said, anything that goes in the mouth must go on the log. I will still put it on my salad, too, but this little experiment won't hurt me. Was tasty with a pinch of salt.

Yesterday's bump up is gone. Back to the other, smaller bump at 161.5. Didn't get a full exercise session in yesterday - I did haul storm debris for 25 minutes but forgot to turn on the watch for most of that. Worked a deadline, cleaned the house when I was done with that, been dealing with some shifting body pain stuff. It's that whole, twisted my ankle a week ago, walked funny for a couple of days, hip hurts, sat funny for too long, now, lower back hurts thing. Just taking it a little easy for a couple of days and letting the Ibuprofen do its thing.

I have a small cosmetic bottle in my bathroom with EVOO in it. I wash my face with a warm washcloth then rub a few drops of oil into my fingers and rub into my still moist skin. Feels great and near instantly soaks into the skin. At seventy, my skin looks great. No need for fancy expensive creams. 🤗❤️

I used olive oil on my skin for years because I saw something back in my 20's about Sophia Loren used it all over her body as a moisturizer. I switched to hemp oil last year as it has some healing properties missing in olive oil. The asthma steroids I take daily make one's skin easily torn and bruised. It seems to be helping strengthen it.
