sweetgirl's Journal, 30 June 2008

Stepped on the scale this morning (naked) and it said 201.4 lbs...Ugh!!!!I'm so disappointed right now, i've been on a plateau for more than 2 months. I have to be honest and recognized that i've cheated numerous time especially when i go out during the week-end. I've been dating this new guy(oh, gosh i liiiiike him...lol)and even though i wanted to see him so bad this past week-end, didn't do it just so i could stay on plan....silly me, i ended up doing totally the opposite. I binged like i haven't seen food for years. How pathetic is that? Maybe i did because have made a lousy decision, who knows.
Since complaining about my bad food choices won't do me any good, instead of talking i'd rather act upon it. So i've started take off today and i'm hoping that it'll give me a boost, so i coulg go back focusing on my weight loss journey.Hopefully wenesday will be a better day.

Woohoo for you too. I just started dating again too, and I tell ya it will be a challenge. Good thing is that he is out of town and if we continue dating we won't see each other that often so that should help with the eating. LOL. I hope it works out for you, if your new guy is supportive, it should work out great. PS....I have been on a plateau, not lost much, for five months now, but I feel great and know that whenever this weight loss picks up again and I reach goal, I will know how to maintain, just look at it this way and you will be alright, I would love to be under 200 like you. Way to go!!!

I've found that going out to eat really isn't difficult to do and stay on plan. Check the restaurant(s) out online before you go and look at the nutritional values. Some things that you think would be good for you (and may even be on their low-cal menus) are really NOT good at all. I LOVE mexican food and was shocked - no that doesn't say it enough - FLABBERGASTED how much sodium my fave restaurant included in their foods, including the light menu. I've had to nix it from my frequent dining list though we'll still go there every now and then. Don't give up seeing him so that you'll stay on plan. Think about how you can stay on plan even WHILE you're seeing him.
