It's been an interesting day today. I can't EVEN believe how much 'chocolate' has been on my mind! I've tried to be self-accountable about it and have allowed myslef HALF of a fiber one oats & choclate bar whenever it gets to be too much for me to resist. I've kept myself away from the office jar of peanut M&Ms as well. However, yesterday I thought I'd try to satisfy my chocolate craving by way of a Burger King Iced Mocha. Would you believe I couldn't even drink 1/4 of it? My stomach started feeling upset. I think it was the last of the stomach flu. I ended up putting the mocha in the freezer to save for today. This morning I pulled it out of the freezer, let it thaw, tried to drink it again, and felt icky part way through it. So, ended up throwing it out. I wonder if this is God's way of answering my prayer request of "Please help me with my chocolate addiction!" LOL Anything is possible with God, so wouldn't be surprised if it's Him trying to help me be more sensitive to what I put in my mouth. In fact, this morning I made the comment to my husband that I've noticed drinking water and iced tea actually soothe my stomach, compared to drinking any type of coffee or milk product. I guess I SHOULD TAKE THE HINT and LISTEN TO MY BODY!
In any case, I have dropped a half pound below my lowest charted weight so far! Yay!

Yayaya!! Great job on listening to you body! I too am still getting over the tail end of the stomach bug today.. boy was I ready to call up Costco and give the deli manager an ear full! lol Still feeling "a bit ick", but mainly just a bit bloated. I am brewing a sun tea jar with my green tea, and plan to add either xylitol or honey to it for my sweet treat for later. I've had some water too, but still not finding the "umph" I'm needing to get more accomplished. Keep on kickin' it up girly!! xoxo

I'm wondering...does anyone else every experience getting sick whenever they go to the gym? I'm starting to NOT want to go to the gym now, as it seems every week that I go, I end up getting a cold or some other form of virus. I can't help but think I keep getting this stuff from the gym!!! Should I be taking some special sort of vitamins or supplements to help stave off the germies?

I got rid of a lot of highly processed food with fake ingredients (including fake sugars) a year or so ago. Now I find that I get sick after eating that stuff.

Zippy773...what sorts of things did you get rid of from your diet and what do you use in place of it now? I'm interested! That is what I'm trying to do. =)

zippy...i did the same thing...i had to eliminate soy from my diet and it turns out that if you purchase something in a box it has soy...go figure...miteslur...i read the main spices and items in each product and then i make them up at home...i bought spice jars from walmart and make my own...so if we want indian i make brown rice and curried chicken with home made spices and not from the package...we also put up all of our own tomato sause products...ketchup, speghetti sause, bbq sause, salsa, etc...so i know that there is not any sugar or preservatives...

veggies yuk...WOW! Where could I find recipes for the ketchup, spagehetti sauce, bbq sauce, etc.? What a great idea! I have canning stuff! I did make my first batch of freezer jam, last Saturday, using xylitol for sweetener instead of sugar, per BullyT's suggestion. I made strawberry, rhubar, banana jam. It was stuff I had in the house and thought, why not?! I was pleased with how it turned out considering I used xylitol instead of sugar.
