SELouisiana's Journal, 13 February 2013

I'm 30 yrs old and my current weight is 220 pounds. I've lost 43 pounds already from (finally) getting and staying on a real diet and eliminating horrible eating habits completely. I was surprised at how much weight I lost just by eliminating the bad foods like sugar and introducing natural and organic foods into my diet. Oh and I've always drank water and liked it...i just made it my only beverage besides occasional 2% milk drink now. Before I was just reckless with drinking and eating whatever was in my path. Anyhow, I need to lose 65 more pounds to arrive at a healthy weight for my height of 5'8". My goal weight is 155 pounds. I am right now only on my 2nd day of an actual CONSISTANT exercise regimen. Before i just incorporated walking in place for a few minutes a few days a week. Nothing like a routine. I was more focused on the eating habits bc thats where THE real problem was. Right now I try to do cardio for 30 minutes but I have to rest many times. I have a Gold's Gym Sauna Suit so that makes me sweat a bit more. I do have a few other Gold's Gym items that I purchased from walmart.com (jump rope, wrist weights, ankle weights, weighted vest, thigh toner, resistance bands...all Gold's Gym products). This has been so hard already and I wonder if I will be able to really do all the exercising I need to get this weight off of my frame. I'm just taking one day at a time and my goal is to work out everyday. I'm keeping the same diet I've had for the past 4 months that helped me lose the first 43 pounds (it has kind of become a lifestyle change now really). Introducing the more involved exercise component yesterday was a challenge but I have to do this to get healthy and lose the rest of the weight. I do not take any weight loss supplements...they scare me bc they usually have caffeine in them and that's just not something for me. I don't like to be jittery or hopped up with energy that isn't from regular foods I eat. I do take vitamins though (E, D3, Biotin/B7, B12, & Omega 3-6-9 complex) but have only been taking them for the last month. I will introduce a couple other supplements in March like Fiber and maybe CoQ10 (sp?). Well that's it for now. It's late. I'm tired. Really hoping I can do the exercising as well as I've done the dieting thus far.
