When I First decided to take action on my weight, I weighed in at 271 lbs. and that was sometime in March of 2010. I began to run on a treadmill at home and somewhat watch what I ate. Unfortunately, my treadmill consistently gave me problems breaking down, and although I had warranty coverage for 5 years, it takes the damn insurance company weeks, sometimes months, to fix the damn thing every time it breaks down. I have a bad knee due to a football injury at a young age and cannot run on hard pavement or surface or my knee will begin to hurt.

After being fed up with the insurance company's delay of service (which was ruining my exercise routine), I decided to join the gym on 6/12/10. I am not new to the gym as at one point 7 years ago, I leaned out to 212 with a muscular build. I do not recall exactly how much I weighed in upon joining the gym this second time around, but I believe it was around 263 lbs.

On 7/9/10, I found the Calorie Counter app on my Android phone and began keeping track of my diet and exercise. I weighed in at 250 lbs. the first time I decided to try the app. I have never been a huge fan of going on a diet and never have gone on a diet, until now. I found out that the calorie counter app facilitated my calorie count and helped me keep track of my foods with it's large food database. Thereafter, I was searching for some good low calorie recipes on Google and that is how I found FatSecret. I noted the FatSecret logo was that of the same as calorie counter app. So I signed up with Fat Secret and realized I could sync my data on to this website. That is where I am at today.
