We have so much to be thankful for. Why is it so hard to stay on track? I lost another pound because I have not given in to my addictive behaviors of eating chocolate especially. I think it is because no one acknowledges that sweets are addictive that we don't look at it like drugs or alcohol. I read a book called the pleasure trap that describes scientifically how we have these receptors for the pleasure hormones like dopamine that are powerful enough to persuade to indulge in sugar. They are not as powerful as hard drugs, but still must be resisted to be a healthy weight or we get diseases like diabetes and heart diseases like stroke, arteriosclerosis, etc. thanks for your support.

Living in moderation is the key to happiness in my opinion. The problem is figuring out how to do that! Eating can also become an addiction if not controlled. overeating can lead to obesity which in turn leads to numerous medical problems and even possibly death..just like drugs. But recognizing a problem is half way to a solution. The fact that you are beginning to realize the things that make you lose your way is a fantastic start. Just keep chiselling away and you will discover the Gem that is hiding inside you waiting to shine its light in the world. Great job!
