I support the comment you made. I have pets and kids. I have a sister that had to give her daughter up for adoption when she was already a year old. She could not afford to have her and give her a home or food. Yes I have given up pets because I could not afford to feed them and my kids.

It is selfish to deprive your love ones from a better life....for the fear of being lonely or whatnot

I understand your point, and didn't see the post that started this post, but, I have 4 kids and although we are not rolling in the dough, (we are a one income house hold). I do think parents should be able to provide a safe, loving household with healthy fresh foods.. I cannot discribe how upset I would get when I used to work at Walmart as a cashier and people would come in with a link card (food assistance cards) and get chips and pop then bust out $100 for booze, meanwhile their kids are in to small of clothes eating happy meals... 🤦♂️.. Parents should always put the kids needs first and their own needs second. Take care of your kids. And not waste my taxes on garbage food that no one needs.
If you can't afford food get assistance, I'm not against that.. I'm against the people abusing the system.. Or not putting kids first. Once at Walmart I saw a kid walking through the store during winter (in Wisconsin) with no shoes or coat. I asked the mom where are his shoes.. She laughed and said I can't keep them on him.. What?! He is like 5. It's 10 degrees out, why does he run the show? Oh my goodness.. Some people. 🤦♂️

Yes! Parents (future parents) should make sure they at least can buy clothing and shoes that fit their child and that look ok. Food always in the fridge and pantry (whole foods!) a safe home and $10 in their pocket to take their kid to the park and buy them an ice cream every Sunday!

i agree. we hear so often that the child's need is neglected. better plan than sorry. raising a child isn't an easy job. they need proper development in emotionally, mentally and physically.
