Monday, Monday ... so good to me ... Monday, Monday ...

Working on gathering a positive outlook to this first day of the work week!! LOL!!

Busy day ahead full of lots of driving and three visits. Should make the day pass quickly if nothing else.

One day of indulgence on Saturday and when I stepped on my trusted scale this morning I was up about 3 lbs ... 189.4. Okay. Yesterday I did well calorie wise and exercise. Today will be the same as will the remainder of the work week. Saturday? Oh ... we'll be going out and it will be what it will be.

My mother made it home safely from her vacation. She had a great time ... and is facing the music today with a 10 lb. gain. I thought summer was the time we lost weight??? LOL!!! Apparently not THIS summer. I almost always gain 10 lbs after a week on vacation though. I'm sure it will come back off more quickly than it appears to have arrived. I'm happy she had so much fun!! She deserves it!!

Yesterday I accomplished laundry and ironing. That was it. No real housecleaning other than a little sprucing up the bathroom and dishes washed!! Weekends are too short. There needs to be more weekend and less week!!

So on to gratefulness and then on to my day ...

1. This morning I am grateful for a safe & fun trip for my mom

2. I am grateful that I am still doing okay with being a little higher than I would like on my chart with no self bashing or emotional fall out

3. I am grateful for my Pilates work out where I continue to feel strong and lean during it ... I know my work outs are making a difference and I love being more coordinated and stronger.

4. I am grateful for the smells of the air ... how differently it smells when it is warm vs. the cool of the morning ...

5. I am grateful for an enjoyable weekend and a week of work to recover from it!!!

And so kindness prevails!!! I continue to practice kindness towards myself, acceptance of the choices I make, and being in each moment as much as I can. Have a marvelous Monday ...

Glad to hear that your Mom is home safe and sound and evidently enjoyed herself thoroughly, 10 pounds is not so bad. Monday, Monday... I had to look it up to find that the Mamas and the Papas wrote the song, it's been so long. :-) Monday gives us the opportunity to start the week afresh (not many alternatives there), so I do like Mondays. Hmmm... no weigh-in for two days eh? Well, I'm pretty sure we'll see a decent figure posted in the next couple of days or so. ;-)

I love your additude. You know that you will be going out on weekends, and you want to enjoy yourself - nothing wrong with that! You know what to do durring the week so there isn't a perminent gain - good for you. Have a great Monday Moosie!

Amazing how the numbers on the scale can escalate so quickly, isn't it? I've had to learn not to have anxiety over spikes. I like that "it will be what it will be". I'm having to learn to accept that philosophy more and more, especially as we have more activities during the summer and it's just not always possible to eat the way I would prefer to eat. We still have to live and enjoy our lives, and a day of enjoyment now and then isn't going to hurt our overall journey towards healthier living.

What I am Grateful For: I am grateful for your grateful list that makes life sound worth living. I am grateful that you share these important moments and discoveries with us. I am grateful to know someone who loves their Mom. I am grateful that you enjoy all the little things in life that money can't buy. I am grateful that you are my buddy here on FS. :-)

thank you NN ... thank you Lisa ... I have reached the 'end' of my Monday and I am sooo tired and just feeling 'blah' ... LOL!! Maybe I need to do another grateful list!! It was such a busy day and in one day I went from 'almost' being caught up to now being BEHIND again. I guess that is job security eh??? Thanks to all of you though I just keep trekking along ... knowing that I am simply tired, that nothing is really the matter, it just is what it is in this moment. Reading your comments always brings a smile to my face. Thank you!!
