madaboutmoose's Journal, 21 December 2012

Whoa. Just looked outside. Lots of snow. DH still not home and its nearly 5 am. Starting to worry.

I did see a decline. 220.8 this morning. Still not back to 219 but close. I must remember to respect my body. Obviously I needed to feed it yesterday. Today? Just a regular day for me. I may not be going anywhere if our road is still not plowed. I'm thinking it isn't since our neighbor never plowed our driveway yesterday. Yikes!

Found out my youngest, who we were going to pick up from work on Sunday for the holiday is working until 8 pm so I bought him a train ticket instead. Will have to pick him up at 2:30 am on Monday but if we drove to get him we would have a 2 hour drive there, then back home and wouldn't probably get home until 11 and that is only if the roads are good. With all the hours DH is putting in I thought the train was a better option. Every day DH has had to cut a tree that has fallen across the road. Good thing he has been carrying his chainsaw!

So I will see what the day brings. I do have work I can do from home.

Grateful today ....

The lights on the Christmas tree.
Figuring out how to use my juicer.
Internet despite the snow!
The flexibility to work at home.
Not giving up on myself.
Faithful friends.
It's December 21st and the world hasn't ended!

I think I will have breakfast. Will feel so much better when DH gets home. Hope he isn't stuck some place. Have a good day. Kindness, gratefulness. I must practice.

Update! Called DH. He is on our private road cutting his way up. Whew. Hope to see him soon!

Oh yeah I forgot to put that on my journal too, grateful that the world didn't end. Glad you got your treet up and it would be nice to work from home and you can relax once hubby gets home. If the weather is as bad as that he may be busy still working. I am sure all is well. Love your grateful list and yes do be kind and patient with yourself, just as you are with us. Weight - its up, its down, like life, and still we go on. Love you lots Carol. You are one of my long tiem buddies, and you inspired me so much when I first came on to FS. I remember one week-end staying up almost all night reading your back journals and loving your journey. So glad (though its selfish) that you are still here. Merry Merry Ho Ho sweetheart.

Isabel you are also one of my long time buddies here. It's funny how close we can become without ever meeting face-to-face! We carry on. We are more than a number on a scale. But oh how I'd like to wear those "skinny" jeans again! LOL!

No snow here (yet) but a cold cold morning. And it seems we'll be cold until after chritmas... Gald to hear your husband made it home safe. So, you alternate low, normal and high calorie days? How does that work? Maybe I should read your previous journals to find the answer. Have a good day Carol, stay warm!
