Good Friday.

DH arrived home about 3:45 am. My alarm goes off at 4:30 am. Just enough time for me to fall asleep again before the alarm. Hello.

It's a little chilly this morning ... 26 degrees outside ... 59 inside ... fire is burning now and coffee is brewed. Snow isn't expected much today but it Saturday, Sunday and Monday coming. Hopefully my 4WD will be repaired today at the shop in preparation for the coming snow. We've a little drive ahead of us to pick up mom tomorrow from her friends, take her to dinner and get back home.

Weight is steady at 219. I have not been able to get myself up to my RDI on "normal" days. I was shy only a couple hundred calories yesterday and that includes quite a bit of snacking!! Tomorrow is "indulgence" day. The steakhouse will definitely be indulgent but oh so good!!! I can almost taste their applewood smoked steaks right now!!

Only 2 families today but still a full day. One is an hour drive away and will likely be my last visit with them. We'll be completing (if the little boy will cooperate) a developmental evaluation as his third birthday is quickly approaching. Kids "graduate" from our program at age 3. I then meet with a dad who's son will also be 3 in January to do some parent questionnaire evaluations with him this afternoon. Then home. Home. Be it ever so humble there is no place like home.

Helewis turned me on to apricot kernels which are cancer fighting foods. Watched a video last night and ordered some. It can't hurt. And perhaps, we will stumble onto something that actually does help.

I paid bills last night, depressing but also lifts a weight off my shoulders knowing I am caught up.

Grateful ... (I think of things all day long and then when I get here my mind goes blank!!!)

DH ... "how are YOU?" ... last night on the phone ... "remember I love you."

Flexibility in my work schedule making it possible for me to sit at the shop for a bit yesterday.

A healthy pregnancy and birth for a family I've worked with after the first one was quite challenging (however she says this baby is fussy just like her first!!!)

The capacity to feel.

Okay ... off I go!! If I want to get Pilates done today I need to get my rear in gear here. I need to be at the office on time this morning since I need to be in Spirit Lake by 9 am. Good 45 minutes to an hour drive. I continue to practice kindness, continue to do my best to take care of myself ... please do the same.

You sound bright today, and I'm grateful for that. And isn't it lovely that in the midst of the crap of life your DH remembers to tell you he loves you. And while it doesn't solve all life's problems, it makes them easier to bear because it reminds you why you shoulder so much crap. Hope the day is great and that your steak is as wonderful as you expect and that you have a great time with DH and mum (oh and that the roads remains clear there and back ) Amen.

Decided to skip Pilates. I'll do the full workout tomorrow morning. Needed to get to the office. Thankfully I got to work without 4WD!!
