skitz600's Journal, 23 April 2008

I made a sugar free peanut butter pie last night, for a diabetic man that I work with. I went a little crazy snacking as I made it, but now that it is made I could care less about eating it. It was really good though! I got chinese food for dinner last night and I got something different this time. I got steamed vegetables and chicken with steamed rice. The sauce came on the side, and it was very yummy! I am suprised that I have not been craving chocolate too much this TOM. I finaly realized that the most I ever weighed was 126 Lbs. Before I started lossing weight, I weighed about 118 Lbs. I never want to weigh more than 126 Lbs! I can't believe that I came close to my max allowable weight again! It makes me sick! Its like I was just okay with being fat and lazy. I lost 10 Lbs and I still look flubbery! My origional goal weight doesn't make me as happy as I thought it would. So, I think I want to lose another 5 Lbs but only weighing 100 Lbs sounds kind of scary thin. I will just have to agree with the mirror.

Maybe if it's just the "flubbery" feeling that you don't like try letting your body settle into this weight for a few weeks 2-3 and then try losing a bit more. It sounds counter productive, but I've found after a few weeks of incresed exercise and increased healthy food (same number of calories as incresed exercise) my body looks tighter and I'm ready to start losing again. Go with the mirror or tape, not with the scale for the most part. And when in doubt talk to an honest friend =) My best friend's fiance is 5'1 3/4 (she agrees that the 3/4 is important) and she weighs between 105-107 lbs. She claims that each pound she gains looks like 5 lbs on anyone else and sends her love and support! She is my "honest friend" =)

Thanks for your added comment! I guess it will take time. I am still fearful of putting the weight right back on. I guess that is why I want to weigh as little as I can and still be healthy.

Muscle is important too when it comes to looks. In the past when I weighed less than I do now, I don't think I was more attractive than when I weighed more but with muscle. That being said, it sure is difficult to build muscle and to get enough protein in your diet too :) I understand the fear of gaining back the weight. You don't want all this effort to be for nothing!

I made the peanutbutter pie from your cookbook for dessert tonight. I was hosting a small dinner party. My guests raved over it! I served it with banana and coconut icecream, and was asked for the receipe by the pickiest eater of the bunch! Thanks for the GREAT recipe!
