Alison Krauss was so great!!! She has the voice of an angel and she's no slouch on that fiddle either! I managed to avoid all the junk food but the smell of it all around me was bothering me tonight. Not because I wanted it - just because I didn't want to smell it. I got a couple more of my prosperity books today and they talked about how you have to be ready to change to accept new good into your life. One of the affirmations talked about moving old things including old relationships out of our lives to make way for new things. The books also talked about being willing to give up the attention and sympathy one gains from being ill (such as my depression) or talking of the past abuse in order to allow new good to come into one's life. I was thinking that if I think about the past situations I should think of them only in terms of the positives they brought into my life such as becoming a better mother or becoming more compassionate and stronger emotionally. I need to focus my mind on the positive things in life to attract more positives into my life. The books also said that if we have complaints about the people in our life that like attracts like. If we want different people in our life we need to become different people first.
I am tired tonight and I am hungry so I will eat some pork rinds even though my calories are probably high.

Oh I love Allison Krauss too! "When you say nothing at all" is one of my favorites by her and I love the song she sings in the movie "Oh Bother Where Art Thou" the song "down to the river to pray" is so great! Sounds like you had a fun weekend!

I love Allison Krause too! She's awesome! I don't think I've ever heard anything of hers that I didn't like! When you talk about trying to think of things in a more positive way it reminds me of the scripture Philipians4:8" Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is worthy of respect, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if something is excellent or praiseworthy, think about these things." I'm trying to do the same thing. It's not always easy. We kind of program ourselves to re-visit the things that hurt. I've held on for far too long to the past. I'm trying to look forward to the future instead and let the past go. Like you say, take whatever good I can from it and let the rest go. You inspire me by the way you are constantly working on yourself, to be the best that you can be.Thank you for sharing.

Glad you enjoyed the concert, Allison Krauss is, without a doubt, one of the best in that genre. Have a great Sunday!

What you said is so true, if we want different we have to do different. I am doing that with my WOE, if I want to feel and look different I have to eat different..how easy is that..right on Andrea. :)

You reminded me of the saying "misery loves company." If you think about it you will see how very true it is. And if you change the negatives into positive you can attract much more happiness and love. People are generally attracted to friends that are fun, uplifting, and positive. Nobody wants to be around a "downer." Not just others, but ourselves as well. Thanks for this journal entry. It helps to remind me that I too need to find the positive me more often.
