day 60 of 65

Damn I miscalculated somewhere along the way.. it is 7 days till my goal date. Yes I have started the drastic measures but not to the extent that I am putting myself in any harm.
Today I feel slightly better physically, and I believe the bug is slowly moving itself out. That is a blessing in disguise.
However I now find myself with a difficult problem that I am unable to shake.. I can not get that goal number out of my head.. it is absolutely haunting me.. yes I know it is only a number, but it is one that I so desperately want to see. In reality I know it will make absolutely no difference in my physical appearance, nor is it a guarantee that it will bring me happiness.. but it is just something I want to achieve..
This morning I stepped on the snarly scale and it read 125.2.. I will retry it tomorrow to see what it is then..
Here's the pathetic part of the whole entire thing.. I have nobody in my personal life to share any of these thoughts and feelings with. The last time I did mention it to anyone they thought I was nuts and the subject was dropped. I have yet to date ever brought it back up except on here.
Well I should get going now...
Grateful for:
family as always
my job.. debatable at times
fs buddies who encourage, support and offer guidance
the shitty bug slowly making it's grand exit.
getting out of a warm cozy bed, even tho like others I sure did not want to at all.

I'm glad you're starting to feel better. Since you know that it's just a number, I'm wondering if there's a negative thought deep in there attached to that number that's making it haunt you? As in, "If I don't reach 123, I'm__________." If so, find that negative thought and counteract it with a positive one. You already are in a healthy, beautiful weight range! You are successful and can and do achieve your goals! I'm fighting thoughts of failure today after finding out my professor, who already 'has it all,' is two years younger than me. But such thoughts are not helping- I think we both could benefit from focusing on the positive things we've achieved! :) now how to walk my walk instead of just talk my talk on that one... ;)

Stressing will probably counteract your efforts. Just keep doing your best. While you keep that # in the back of your head, keep your forefront thoughts on one day at a time, positive results, and we're here to cheer each other on. It does help when you have people in your life to share with.

Thank you for the comments.. Here's the thing about this number... I wrote this number on my wish board about 2yrs ago.. I have come close to achieving it a few times but when I was unable to reach it I gave up. So now I just want to see it even if it is only for a day or two. Perhaps it's my motivation, or the silent reminder to stop being so complacent with my life.. Either way.. I am marching forward.. thank you for all your support.. united we stand to reach our goals... one step at a time.. :D

You have 7 days right? Try eliminating processed carbs, eat protein, veggies, fruit and drink a ton of water. Walk, walk & walk some more. Get as much sleep as possible - more than 8 hours especially the night before you weigh in. Of course you have to hold up on the water a little the day before maybe. This is not anything scientific. It is just what I did accidently before I dropped big time last week. Of course I have 60 more pounds to lose so it might not be as easy for you but it might work. Good luck!

You'll make it! It'll happen and if it doesn't NO WORRIES! You've done so very well. Don't beat yourself up! It'll all be OK. I think you'll do it though. :)

Pam-u-la: You will get to 123 if that is what you want to see. Just take it easy and relax more around the idea. And Neptunebch is correct! Eat protein, fruit and vegggies and drink water - you know how to do it! Think of how well you already have done!
