RubyRedSox's Journal, 11 October 2012

I'm very unhappy right now. I was doing so well until there were 2 family emergencies involving 2 of my grown children back to back. The last one did me in. I ended up in a type of flare I get that comes with a fever and symptoms simular to mono that lasted for almost 3 weeks. One wouldn't think I could eat during this very stressful time but I did and I'm still trying to get it under control.

I stepped on the scales and found that I've gained 10 pounds! Physically, my fever is finally gone but I'm still feeling more crappy than usual. My body just can't handle stress. Fortunately the thing with the one child is much better but the second one, though he's out of the hospital and much better. It's still very hard.

Well, there's nothing to do but get back on the horse. I'm slow cooking some chicken bones so I can make a big pot of soup tomorrow. That'll help. As for dealing with my emotions, I'm struggling. I just feel really down right now. Though I know this will pass still, I really hate feeling this way. Eh... maybe I just need a good cry.

Anyway, I will focus on the positive because anything else is pointless. Besides, Halloween is just around the corner. So, something to look forward to!

Best wishes to all,
~Ruby

Thank you Rockytu. I've finished making my big pot of soup. I just need to add some seasonings. I'll watch a movie with my soup tonight. Maybe the Titanic dvds I got a couple of months ago. I'm also thinking about making some coconut flour "bread" to go with the soup...
