Queso Grande's Journal, 07 April 2008

I started a new job at a water reclamation plant that requires a lot of walking. I walk about 7 or 8 miles a day now as well as climbing 12 flights of stairs every every 4 hours (twice per shift).

All that being said, I finally inched my way into the 200's! I'm only a half pound in, but I'm excited about finally seeing a "2" at the beginning of the scale.
299.5 lb Lost so far: 14.5 lb.    Still to go: 74.5 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 4.2 lb a week

Yes, CindyLynn, the new job is cool. I haven't moved around this much since I quit taking basketball seriously. Now I have to keep up the movement. I was tempted to drive around the plant last night instead of walking, inclement weather was a major factor, but I decided to bundle up and keep pushin'. Wolverine work boots... That's the third time I've heard the name. Looks like I've got a winner on my hands. Thanks for the info, Pats! Thanks for the compliment, CindyShine. And, you're right, I shouldn't zero in on the number so much. It's kind of hard not to when you've been over 300 lbs for the better part of 6 years. I'm figuring that out now, though! Thanks guys, this site serves as great motivation to keep it going!
