I never got back on here last night to finish my food diary. Will start fresh (again) today!
DH cooked breakfast sausages this morning - nice treat! I am allergic to nitrates but am finding that almost any stores now sell nitrate free products. This is a mixed blessing because now I am eating a lot more sausages & cold cuts - and they still have lots of salt and calories.
Got to get busy. Birthday party for one of the Grandsons at 2 pm today and I haven't even bought a gift yet. Also need to pick up some fresh fruit for the salad I am making for the kids - they prefer Grandma's fruit salad over birthday cake!
Today I am thankful that I live close to the stores. Anyone who has ever had to drive 1 hour to get to a major store will certainly appreciate this.

*raises hand* It's over an hour round trip driving time for me just to get to any grocery store. Happy Birthday to the grandbaby! Awwww they love your fruit salad.... that is awesome!

Sandy - It is so frustrating - you almost have to plan your whole schedule around shopping! Right now I am about 10 minutes from anywhere!

It is an hour to Costco for us. And I love Costco. But no, my normal grocery store is only 5 minutes away. Isn't it awesome that the grandkids love your fruit salad over cake. WOW!

I'll admit - I do have to drive 20 minute to get to Sams Club. As for the fruit salad - I have no explanation for its popularity - it is just fruit held together with a little vanilla yogurt.

Its about a an hour for me to get to Sam's..thats why I only go about every 3 weeks..I stock up and check my list several times..don't want to forget any thing..problem is I always buy more than whats on the list..LOL..Enjoy your grand babies...they grow up fast...:O)

Bren - I remembered that you lived in a rural setting as well. Living in the country is nice but I feel like I'm way too old to do all that driving!
