I have run out of excuses. Hoping to restart, but I keep saying that. I had reset my starting weight and goal and have just gained weight since doing that. I set up a new challenge that starts today. I am going to try as hard as possible to follow the written guidelines from my doctor. His diet is not just for losing weight but for inflammation which has been high for over a year (but has improved since losing weight). I got a one day head start on the challenge and am glad it is only for a week. Eliminate processed food, processed meat, dairy, animal based foods. Basically I can eat fruit, vegetables, nuts and beans. Not crazy about beans or vegetables. Yesterday I made chili without meat. Just the way I usually make it without the ground beef. It wasn't awful. Very difficult to get enough protein unless I eat lots of beans. I put extra kidney beans in the chili and actually had peas for breakfast yesterday. Still, the protein was low and I had to eat some extra almonds to get the protein up to 40 grams.
