Well it is Monday of the 3 day weekend. And it has been a big over-indulgence. Friday night, Sue brought over a second meat, lamb chops. She also brought over some edibles, and I had a little bit. Yikes. Got the munchies. Ate a burger and then a lamb chop and part of another. Then I HAD to try each flavor of the sugar free Russell Stover chocolates. Plus 2 mints. Saturday was the big BBQ for Clint and the Bex. SO I made a whole bunch of stuff plus a pan of gluten free brownies. We feasted. Nothing in the actual feast was too very bad: cajun chicken, corn on the cob, zucchini salad (with quite a bit of olive oil and nothing else bad, mint, lemon), black bean salad (very healthy BTW), macaroni salad (light version) and red beans and rice (from Zataran). BUT Sue brought over strawberry shortcake, which I did not plan for. AND those brownies. Sue had half. Erik was to stuffed to try any. And Clint and the Bex and I finished off all but one of 16 brownies!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sunday was the Giants game, so I didn't even have time to clean up the kitchen. Woh is me! By the time we got to the game, I was starving. We had Polish dogs, and I had a bag of chips followed by a few roasted peanuts. I bought the kind in the shell, so I could make a mess and would not eat too many due to all the trouble of shelling them. Then I came home, had macaroni salad, a burger and the last brownie. This morning, I have the biggest stomach ache EVER and have probably gained 5 pounds. I am about to fire up another big pot of oatmeal. It is that and yogurt for me this week. And fish. And chicken. Freeze that last lamb chop! Ouch!
