I was up bright and early to take my husband for manipulation under anesthesia. He had frozen shoulder. He asked for an Italian sandwich for lunch. I had antipasto. That is one of rescues looking on. Her name is Steve. She is 15.

Thank you! Thank you. She is a wonderful dog. She was heartworm positive, emaciated, and afraid of men. She is proof of what a little love and care can do.

Awww - bless... poor baby! You've done an amazing thing - completely transformed her life. We can't change the world, but you changed her world. :) Loads of gentle-approach snuggles to beautiful Steve.

I'm convinced that dogs are better beings than humans, generally speaking. Lol. My profile picture was taken minutes before I had to put down my German Shepherd that I raised from a puppy. It was heart wrenching. I still miss her so much (tearing up right now even!), and I didn't realize she was my best friend until she was gone... Anyway, enjoy time with Steve while he's here. Dogs are the best!

SunnieDillard, we have had her for 13 years. We have 3 other rescues, Buck who is 12 had him since a pup. Zappa, she is who the hell knows, we have had her almost 5 years and Little Miss Mina Bean, she is 3 or 4. We opted out of having human children. There were 2 we had to say good-bye to over the years. Whoophie was 14 and Fletchie was 16. Still makes me emotional. I can't imagine my home without a pack. xoxo
