Today we had a half hour Body Pump class. Anyone ever try it? It’s a killer!

Trainer: let’s start you out with these weights
Me: 2 5’s and 2 2 1/2’s? That’s only 15#
Trainer: trust me, it’ll be enough. We can add more later if you want. Grab some 5# dumbbells.
Me:ok. I usually use 8#. Should I get some 5# for Home?
Trainer: if you want but for this class let’s stick a little lower

I’d noticed she had the other ladies using 2-3# so I didn’t think she was trying to say I’m weak. The other ladies are 55&75 ish I think.

About 10 minutes in:
Me: omg! Can I go to 3# weights??? (After I’d switched from 8’s down to the 5’s.

Seems we did 200 reps per song and 3 songs. My legs were shaking so bad I knew at any minute I’d be falling over. I was the only one not to put my weights done and just use body weight toward the end so I am proud of that.

Somehow I don’t think I’ll be signing up for that class until I have my stamina up some!! 30 second breaks every now and then and 1 minute between songs wasn’t enough to stop the shaking lol. Was still shaking when I got the store (after my 20 minutes of lifting with breaktime only being to move to the next machine). I’m gonna feel it tomorrow!
