Good morning!

The weekend was really good, and I did IF..don't plan on stopping that anytime soon. I stayed under 1200 calories, but did have a tiny dairy-free ice cream cheat. I didn't feel guilty since I did do Taebo and Pilates Saturday and Sunday.

I brought some good food to work today. I've decided to try and go from vegetarian to vegan. I'm trying a new bowl by Green Giant, called a Burrito Bowl. It's actually cauliflower with sauce..can't wait to try it. I've been vegetarian for so many years that I thought going vegan would be simple. IT'S NOT! I'm pretty good about catching the obvious things like dairy, etc., but I will need to change the way I bake. Luckily, I have some vegan friends at work, and they should have some tips.

I brought my sneakers to walk/run the stairs at work today, so will do that and some squats on my lunch hour.

Have a great day!

VeggieJunkie, nice work! It pays to be different. :) For me, going full vegan since May this year is not new to me, since I'd been full vegan for over nine years over three decades ago. Experimenting with food choices all my life, usually good choices. But at 74 years old, and in good condition, found that my doctor thinks I was pre-diabetic, AND I've been having pain in my hands, not the joints. I had slowly gone back to eating dairy proteins, mainly in the form of protein bars since I do weight training (since 1984). So I decided to try full vegan again. Since long ago I was able to completely cure arthritis in my wrists, by dropping ALL DAIRY for only 3 months. This time, it's been almost three months and the pain in my hands is 80% or more, gone. So I fully support your vegan choice, along with high carbs, which I also do. I shoot for 70% carbs or more, 15% fat or so, 15% protein or less. And I'm losing weight and worried about losing to much. ! :)

Thanks Bill! I hope I'm successful with going full vegan. I definitely do not watch carbs from fruits or veggies. I'm glad to hear you were able to cure your arthritis!

Thanks Veggie, I'm still working on the current hand pain, as mentioned, but it looks promising. Doc not sure what it is either, although he mentioned possibly nerve damage from so long eating animal protein., which for me was limited to dairy, and salmon, chicken and turkey breast. He's at a local facility that is notably successful reversing cancer, mainly using vegan diet.
