Nice! Finally a breakthrough. 210.8 which is a record low by 1.2 lbs!

Yesterday I had a big salad for lunch, loaded it up with ham, and walked around the salad bar and was delighted to find chicken breast on the salad bar. Looks like food and beverage upgraded the salad bar recently! So my salad was nice and meaty! lol, and it kept me full all day.

After work I did the Ramadan sundown bike ride at 1820 (sunset). Which I rather enjoy. Sure, its very hot and humid, probably upper 90's with high humidity. As stated previously, i get off on the high heat workouts. I am running out of my 3L of water in about 16 miles, which is about 10 miles earlier than normal. Luckily I have the electrolytes in my camelbak. I have been popping a Gu or other gel supplement either before or during the ride to ward of cramping too. Long story short, it is much hotter and more miserable in the evenings than in the early AM, by a longshot.

Anyway, plan on doing it all again today.

Got my iron in the fire for a potential opportunity in an exciting part of the world! Lets hope it works out. I am so sick of Bahrain, the heat, same story at work everyday. 4-5 years is my expiration date on jobs. And this one is in that time frame. I am trying something new in a transfer, lets see how it goes. There is some resistance with moving us around, because then they have to back fill our current position. Its bs, but it is what it is.

FML, today the Girl Scout cookies showed up. One of the few things they do to support the troops, and support us, is give out free girl scout cookies. Love the gesture, just not the calories. Just ate 5 trefoils (Shortbread), and it felt like a snack.

Don't beat yourself up! Girl Scout Cookies actually include "crack" as a main ingredient! I have a weakness for Thin Mints and those peanut butter thingys. I added a pic of my kitty to my journal with you in mind.

Thanks Heidijoy! I need to reciprocate with my kitty. Lol about the Girl Scout cookies. I really appreciate the gesture though. I did not get think mints!! Actually I am grateful though. Supposedly our command of a hundred or so folks only got 4 cases.
