jenkie5's Journal, 31 July 2012

I so desperately wanted to reach the twos by the end of this month. Shaking my scale didn't help. Neither did sliding it over to the next tile on the floor. (But I haven't stood naked on it... yet.) I would almost welcome an increase of a tenth of a pound or anything. But, no, It's stuck at point 0. Argh, as Charlie Brown would say.

Expedites at work have limited my exercise time. I should have anticipated and made appropriate mental adjustments. Sigh. August is a new month with new goals to set.

I can almost picture Lucy Van Pelt holding the football for Charlie Brown to kick, only to whisk it away at the last second. Just as Charlie Brown always picks himself up and tries again, so will I. Bring it on, Lucy!

I am convinced plateaus are a good thing - just your body's way of saying "I am adjusting to this new normal." And when we keep up our good eating and exercise, although our weight might not be falling, there's something going on internally that will soon see the weight drop again. And can I just point to your AMAZING weight loss chart? Keep up the good work; I'm cheering for you!!

Your not the only one that thought of standing nake on the scale but for me that would not be good since my scale is at the works gym..lol Keep motivated and what i did was drink just water. Also stopped eating alot at night. Dont worry you will lose.. Dame scales

We all do it, jenkie--step on, step off, step on, step off...go potty, try again...step on, step off, step on, step off...we just can't help it, I guess...doesn't it crack you up to imagine thousands of us across the country every morning, engaging in this bizarre ritual of "weighing in"? It does me...lol!

I guess we should add our weighing ritual to our exercise diary! Would it qualify as Zumba if we play music in the background?
