1978 book that I’ve been reading tonight. I love it! And I’m realizing, 1 ounce of cheese “costs” the same as 1 ounce of candy usually! Hmmpf! Who knew (not me, clearly)

Interesting...
I’d say don’t follow the persons diet on the front cover heh. 3 burgers, 4 pie slices, 3 large uhh margaritas? All those cupcakes... I think that would be called the “I’m depressed & I don’t care” diet lol

Yes it sure would! 😂 It’s literally just pages and pages of portioned out food and their calorie amounts. It’s in alphabetical order. 🤓

Your pancreas and liver will not love you if you fill your body with bad stuff. CICO sounds logical but the body of course needs nutrients. Amazing the stuff they put out in the 70s.

I may have had that exact book as a child. I had a few but that one does look familiar. They had calorie counters at virtually every checkout lane back then.

As for 70's books my 2 favs are Diet for a Small Planet and Laurel's Kitchen.. I have several books with nothing but what is in food nutritionally. They can be informative. FYI I love paper book especially ones about food. Eat nutrient dense foods to keep you body happy whatever plan you may be on. My plan is custom for me as low carb made me feel so sick all the time.
