I started D supplementation with a little calcium. I have to wait 4 hours after taking my thyroid hormone before I can start taking my calcium and vitamin D. It's really tough, as the symptoms get worse while I wait. Apparently, my medication routine needs rejigging. Does anyone have ideas on how I can juggle these two and suffer while I wait? The headache and fatigue get really bad in the meantime. I'm also depressed. Apparently, vitamin D deficiency plays with the neurotransmitters in the brain, including serotonin, making me more depressed the more deficient I am.

I have the same same issue. If I don't take pills in the morning, I forget to take them. So, recently I put a supply of calcium in my desk at work, so I take it around lunch. It's a new routine I'm trying. Good luck!

That's what I do now. i start taking it at lunchtime, and split it between my remaining 4 meals and snacks. Lunch, snack, dinner, snack. I don't have digestive symptoms from them, it's just hard to wait the 4 hours and endure the headache and fatigue until my thyroid supplement works.
