Thanks for all the positive thoughts on yesterday's journal, everyone :) I really appreciated it. I wound up having a mini meltdown last night after my volleyball game. I've been putting on a happy face way too much and saying everything will be just fine, when I'm really terrified out of my mind. I know I'll be feeling like this a lot the next few weeks, so I just have to accept it and deal with it.
Stepped on the scale this morning, and boy was that a slap in the face!!! 144.8??? WHAT?? I've been leveling out lately at about 140.5 so I was shocked to see a 4 lb jump. But then I thought about it logically - It's about 24 hours away from TOM, and in addition to that, I Probably haven't pooped in 48 hours, which means all that deliiiicious Chick Fil A and other meals is just sitting in my intestines like a heavy brick. Either way, it's a nice way to light a fire under someone's butt.
CROSSFIT TODAY! Thank god. I'm going to work extra hard today. Here's the workout:
Wod # 1
15 Minutes to find your 1 rep max Thruster Once you build to a 1 rep max take 75% of the number and perform 7 sets of 2
This total piece will be 25 minutes
Wod #2 5 min As Many Reps As Possible (AMRAP)
5 Thrusters 55 lbs 5 toes to bar
Rest 3 minutes
Wod # 3 For Time
100 air squats 200 m run 75 air squats 200 m run 50 air squats 100m run 25 air squats 100 m run
After Party- 300 hello dollies
Today is going to be a killer. But, I have all day to mentally prepare! Is anyone else dealing with 100+ degree heat and horrid humidity?
ALSO, today is my 1 year anneversary of being a working girl. And I managed to lose 12 pounds through it all :)

I do not understand what those things are - thrusters, hello dollies, toes to bar. I know a squat & a sprint. :) I'll take your word that they are killer!

Thrusters are hard to explain - check a youtube video! Toes 2 bar - Hang on a pullup bar w/ your hands, and swing your toes to touch the bar. and Hello Dollies - lay down on your back, legs straight, and scissor your legs in and out about 6 inches above the ground. KILLER ab workouts!

I love CF! I've been doing some in small group training at my NYSC - it's really made a change in my body and turned alot of my jiggly parts into muscle - good luck today!

A thruster looks to me like a squat with the bar in front of you, and an overhead press at the end. You're doing 55# on that? good work.

Jess - that's pretty much exactly it. I power cleaned 100# last week for the first time, which I was really proud of!

Yikes that workout sounds so intense. Hope it went well! Good job keeping a positive note abuot your 12 pounds lost over the last year, that's something to definitely be very proud of!
