So I have journaled a lot about struggling with my plateau for the past month. It really started in early April but I did not officially call it one until it stretched into May. Finally, things have started to move again in the past week and after reviewing my journal entries dating back to early April, I had an "Ah-Haaa!" moment.
And you know what - it was so simple and basic. It wasn't what I was eating, when I was eating, nor carb related. The only thing I have changed in the past week to 10 days is I stopped eating breakfast OUT. I have prepared my own each day for the past week. I know exactly how much of each item I am getting. Yup. PORTION CONTROL.
Those pictures of decadent omelettes with bacon, etc. while all were on plan and I knew I was staying in ketosis, I had no idea how many eggs, how much cheese or how much bacon and sausage I was getting. For the past week, I have known EXACTLY how much.
So lesson learned for me - eating out is a good go-to when you HAVE to. But it should not be a mainstay part of your plan. So simple - and I feel so stupid. And now I resume my journey...
