I had "bad" food last night, and my brain isn't functioning this morning. I did not take readings. "Bad" food is anything with sugar and/or chemicals in it, and includes sugar-free products that are meant for diabetics. The word, "products" is your first clue. To get myself back on track, I lifted the new weights I found in what passes for our park's exercise room and looked into a webinar by Majorie Wildcraft. Her name and the fact that she looks Native American interested me. Here is her story:

Dangerous people attract me. I realize that is the reason why I married the man I did and why I take martial arts. The diet I chose is also referred to as "dangerous" by most dietitians, but many medical professionals are coming around. This morning, I watched a very old TED Talk by Peter Attia and looked at before and after pictures of low-carb aficionados. It kept me too busy to hurt myself too much as I kicked my own behind.

I do hope the link works, because you see, it doesn't matter that much which diet you choose. If you eat REAL food, then you will get to your correct weight. REAL food is that which resembles its original state. Eat fresh, not canned, vegetables. (Frozen is nearly fresh.) Stay away from GMOs. Eat grass-fed or free-range meat. Don't eat modern vegetable oils. (By modern, I mean anything that didn't exist in human diets before the Industrial Revolution.) I'm going to look more into Marjorie's stuff. She and Mike Adams are friends, and most of what Mike says makes good sense.

Finally, I am going to live by this mantra: Any diet that consists of natural foods is good! If vegans eat real food, it's good. If carnivores eat real food, it's good. If omnivores eat real food, it's good. WE EAT AND DRINK TOO MUCH JUNK, and it is killing us!

I agree with you, but I know I don't have the willingness to give up many processed foods I have grown to love :(
