I am sorry you have experienced negative attitudes about your choice to eat a vegan diet. I hope it has not been anyone on Fat Secret. I have only seen support and care on this site but ya never know, I guess. I have seen people comment about not eating too few calories - but not so much about content of the calories. Good luck, you have my support to stick with what works for you. 

Mari, click on Community up at the top. Then do a Search using term "vegan". You will find several vegan or vegetarian groups. I admire you for sticking to being a vegan. I tried it twice for a year at a time because I hate the thought of hurting animals. I failed, unfortunately. I just wasn't strong enough to resist. I also could not lose weight without eating lots of protein and a drastic reduction in carbs.

I appreciate the support. It is hard and I'm definitely struggling to up my protein intake but I know I just need to dedicate more time into researching meal ideas and such. I know exactly how you feel. Some people are downright hateful about it, and some people like to "joke" about it and then tell you to lighten up if you call them out on it. Ugh! It's funny how choosing a cruelty-free lifestyle can invoke cruelty from other people, huh? 

Yup, exactly. It gets really frustrating on tough days. 

I'm a veggie that now eats fish sometimes and I agree, don't understand the haters. It's not like I go around slapping hamburgers out of people's hands, so leave me alone. To each their own, I guess.
