I knew it was too good to be true. Had my first ever diabetic attack last night.
Blood level was 47. Have to rethink WOE. Pray for me.

You need to do a WOE that is right for you and you alone, whatever that might be, and stay healthy !!!

Lyndanorvitch, coincidentally, I had a low of 56 today. That's an awful feeling! (I took too much insulin, which means I'm becoming a bit more sensitive to it than before I lost weight and began eating LCHF/keto.) Please let me know if you need help figuring this out. It sounds like this is the first time you've experienced a low. Is your diabetes diagnosis recent? Or did you recently change the dosage and/or type of any anti-hyperglycemic medication? Was your activity level higher than usual? If it's medication-related, there's a way to figure out your insulin-to-carbohydrate ratio, so that you don't take more short-acting insulin than your meal necessitates. You can read about insulin:carb ratio at https://www.diabetesdaily.com/learn-about-diabetes/insulin-101/what-is-an-insulin-to-carb-ratio/

Well, that kink didn't work! Googling "insulin to carbohydrate ratio" will lead you to the page at diabetesdaily.com.

For type 2 diabetics, food consumption rarely if ever causes low blood sugar. It's usually a case of too much medication relative to the amount of carbohydrate consumed. A quick fix is a teaspoon of honey, a couple of ounces of citrus juice, a small piece of candy. Toughing it out, because you don't know how low it might go, is not an option.
