Thank you all the support keeps me motivated. Today I walked almost 5 miles, I stand taller and I am still in a euphoric state. It's like I'm on some kind of happy drug if you will. My body does not like carbs so I cut them, I also cut fat. This is not a proper woe but I panicked when my blood sugar hit 224 and I broke out with thrush. My mouth, between my fingers ect. I thought metformin would take care of my bad eating habits. Well it didn't! So I read and read some more. I had a very hard time comprehending what I read. Chalked it up to old age, well it wasnt old age it was the diet. One month in I felt better two months in I could see things changing and the weight dropping. I was also suffering from spinal stenosis pretty much bed ridden since February. Then I remembered that back when I was diagnosed with ss but had no pain, the light went off. I was under 200 pounds with ss with no pain. My idea was get under 200 and the pain would go away. The pain was so bad I didnt even take medicine because it didnt help only made me sleep. At 197 pounds the pain left my body and never came back. I went into ketosis in December and by the end of the December I was fat adapted and remain in that state today. I took myself off metformin and my endocrinologist agreed I had cured diabetes with weight loss and diet. I'm still working toward my goal weight and a new woe. I sleep like a baby and I am up earlier than ever, mental clairity is incredible comprehending is a breeze. You all owe it to yourselves to get healthy and enjoy life, and I know you will. If I can do it anyone can!

You walked 5 miles today? If I had known that I would have done more than my 3.5 or so. It's not that I'm that competitive (although I am), but I like to keep up. You are in an earlier time zone, so just let me know how far you walk so I can keep up!
