Finished my first day of the 14 day Bright Line Eating challenge. The pre-planning of meals is still the hardest part of doing this though I hope that as each day passes it'll get easier. It was nice to have a little drop in weight to give me the bump I need to stay motivated. Happy Hump Day to everybody.
206.2 lb Lost so far: 4.4 lb.    Still to go: 38.2 lb.    Diet followed 100%.

I discovered BLE (actually I think from you!). I am so SOLD that this is the answer for me. I had cut out the sugar/flour already for 21 days when I was doing the Simple Green Smoothies 21-day cleanse and then just started with the BLE after the 21 days. What I'm looking to do is find a few recipes that I like and then make enough for lunch and dinner. Soups are really good this time of year, easy to make and you can freeze some too. Just a couple of thoughts! Thanks for the intro to BLE - I feel after 51 years that I now "GET IT" and understand so much about myself just figuring out my issue with flour and sugar. I believe it! p.s. It gets easier and easier. Best, Sarah

Hey Sarah. I'm so delighted and tickled about what you said about the BLE. I, too, at 51 finally "Get It" and it's been so freeing. You probably get what I'm saying here. I'm currently knee deep in reading, "The Pleasure Trap" by Douglas Lisle. Great book. I highly recommend it. My husband and I are experimenting with new foods for lunch/dinner too that meet the BLE rules AND also limited oil and salt. I made up a great corn chowder the other night and that's a big hit, a lentil chili and recently a tempeh/spinach/mushroom/spaghetti sauce over spaghetti squash "noodles" to keep on hand. We also do a lot of baked tofu strips to throw on salads and large pans of roasted veggies to add as sides or put on salads. Let me know if you find anything good out there. Keep it up and keep on truckin'
