You can do it! Start by logging food/drink to see where you're at

if I can do it - you can do.... my 21 year old son figured out he weighs less than me - now that is a cause for depression!!!

You can do it, I did it a few years ago and it took me about 6 months, but it was well worth it. Just make sure the calorie intake is less than the calories burned and you are on your way!

At least it was an eye opening discovery. I hope that you take it and turn it around. I've shed 40+ pounds and never used a diet. Please feel free to ask I'm 55, 154.6 lbs @ 12% BF, and did it with no gimmicks, additives, supplements... DOn't feel depressed-make it an angry motivation!

This is a site where you will find many people who are losing serious poundage. Take your journey seriously, and you can shed the fat. Welcome to FS!

You will have plenty of supportt on here - just log what you eat, educate yourself on what is best for you to eat, follow your plan, and the pounds will go away. Onward and downward!

I stared Akins mid October. I'm 25 lbs down and well on my way...you can do this too. I agree with RiverRes: log everything you eat and read as much as you can about living with your diet. You can do this!

I know that feeling too well! I was 212 pounds at my heaviest a few years ago. I am only 5 ft 2". I lost some then gained some back and was 185 pounds in September. The support on FS is fantastic! I have lost 20 pounds now since coming back on here and logging everything i eat. Good luck on your weight loss journey you can do it!

Honestly, that is why I am here too...I am at the highest weight I have ever been and not too happy about it!!! Just started today, so if anyone has some guidance, I would love to hear from you. I am so very confused about what type of diet to try and what to eat and not to eat.....I feel like I'm on overload and depressed!!!
