D1srupta's Journal, 09 July 2016

It is probably a bit premature, but I am going to take a break from the monotony of my diet to enjoy some foods I have not been allowed for some time. Today I plan to have Chinese food and ice cream. Tomorrow is not yet planned, but there is a high probability of Tex-Mex and some other terribly unhealthy thing.

This is to celebrate reaching the lowest weight I have been in my entire adult life. I have always been "heavy", the only variance being how many "very"s to put behind it. I know that I am still significantly over weight, but it is a continuous struggle that I must face. I'm only 30lbs from my goal which would put me 15% body fat. That's not perfect, but it is a good place to start.

Here is to nearly 120lbs lost. Now to celebrate by gaining 10+ lbs of water weight over the next two days that I'll spend an additional three days peeing out.
229.8 lb Lost so far: 118.2 lb.    Still to go: 0 lb.    Diet followed reasonably well.
losing 1.4 lb a week

You have done an amazing job my friend! Be mindful of binge triggers and if you feel it moving past the time allotted for feasting, go into a fast, it kills the binge cravings!

Part of losing the weight is being able to occasionally return to a less restrictive diet. Actively losing is a different skill set from maintenance, and while you've still got a few pounds to go to reach your maintenance weight NOW is the time to start transitioning to a maintenance frame of mind. Those last thirty pounds will be gone before you know it and having a plan ready and already implemented will be hugely beneficial. Oh, and Tex-Mex, yeah! A big ol' plate of steamin' greasy enchiladas with lots of cheese and onions and a guacamole salad, be sure to have pecan pie on the side.

Amazing loss, long term! What Phil said - maybe it's time to shift toward maintenance. Enjoy your success!

When you go off plan *consciously*, do it guilt free and enjoy every minute. And then, get right back on it. It sounds like you are in the right place, mentally. You have done really, really well!
