That's awesome! I know what you mean about the heat - I live in Texas and it's brutal outside. I've found I have to drink a lot more water than I usually do to compensate, but like you, also retain water. Great job on the 16/8. I tried a fasting similar to that before but I have hypoglycemia and found it to be too difficult to go too longer without something. Now, I just graze all day 200-300 calories each time. You are doing great!

Anytime you don't drink sufficient water, your body assumes drought conditions exist and holds more water. Same is true in very hot conditions, meaning you would have to drink even more water than normal to have the body shed the excess water it is holding.

I didn't drink enough yesterday, but most days I am glued to my water bottle. The weekends are harder as during the week I'm at my desk all day (I'm a professional artist and do a lot on the computer) so I have a pitcher of tea or water and refill my bottle constantly. We're over 100 degrees and will be all week. But then, were up at those temps most of the summer - this is just early in the season and it takes my body a while to adjust.
