OH NOOOOO!

Well, gaining after that huge dinner and drinking way too much beer this weekend, shouldn't have come as a big surprise but I didn't anticipate 4 pounds worth.

Back on the horse and hopefully lose most of those 4.

It happens I can easily gain 5-7 lbs in a weekend (Friday night to sunday night) never made a lick of sense to me. Beer is my big problem I love to drink and I love heavy craft beers ( some at 200 cals a beer, before I know it I have had 1,400 cals in beers alone...then will do it again on saturday...then at a BBQ on Sunday. I enjoy those kind of weekends and try not to beat myself up on Mondays. It will pack on some serious pound though....the frustrating thing is those around me who drink more and eat more on these type of weekends and do the same amount of activity are fine. Im the only one out of friends and family that gains weight.....everyone else eats what they want when they want. I can eat the exact same thing and do the exact same amount of activities as my friend, husband, or daughters and I gain weight during that time and they dont ( I have tested this many times to prove a point that. Im sure you will lose it in a few days

I DO THIS TO MYSELF ALL THE TIME! I DRINK TONS OF BEER AND THEN GET ON THE SCALE! DON'T WORRY,IT'S ONLY BLOAT. IN 4 DAYS THE NUMBERS WILL GO BACK DOWN JUST DIRNK LOTS OF WATER. SIGNING OUT, THE SELF SABOTAGER LOL

Downs82 we have the same genetics! You just described my life right down to the awesome beers and BBQ! I'm working it all off right now so that I can eat, drink, and be merry this summer. But I will try to be a better person during the week so that I don't get an overall gain after the summer. Be happy and healthy everyone!

A nice drop is coming after your body processes all of the goodies. Hang in there and get back in the saddle.

Skwhite, yes, I'm doing it over next Monday and I had better lost at least 3 pounds of it. Downs82, I'm not a big beer drinker but do on social occasions as in the BBQ you mentioned but yeah, those IPA's can add up.

I self sabotage as well and it used to piss me off. Now it's a minor setback and I move forward.

No worries Madanjen, that's not a fat gain...sure your fat cells plump up from the water & carbs, as well your muscles get plumped up too. As long as you address it early like you have, the pounds come off in a few days. Check out a great old post regarding this called "Why the scales can lie". Great information to have tucked away no matter if you are just starting or almost finished a weight loss program.
