I gained 2 pounds in a month-- didn't do well on maintenance. NOT because of maintenance but because I began to eat things I shouldn't. Like white flour...white sugar...and corn products, ya know...join in with the others at the BBQ's n'all. WAY to early for me to attempt that. I know that is where I went wrong last time I began to gain. Somehow I have to swear those things off for the rest of my life because ONE BITE AND MY BRAKES GO OUT! I really want to lose this weight and be my healthiest.
234.0 lb Lost so far: 13.0 lb.    Still to go: 34.0 lb.    Diet followed poorly.

This is exactly what happened to me last time i did the atkins a few years ago. Lost 67 lbs, and started to eat whatever i wanted.. Good think you caught it now . I didnt and gained my 67 lbs back plus 30 more...Welp, im back now and still trying to lose.. LOL

If you want to be healthy then flour, sugar, and corn just don't belong in your diet. It's not as bad as it seems however, almost all of those bbq favorites can be made without sugar and flour, most people don't even know that you can make bbq sauce without molasses, corn syrup, honey, or sugar, but with sucralose, smoked paprika, and a little google searching you can come up with a BBQ sauce that has all the flavor and none of the bad stuff. So when you go to the family bbq just take your own, instead of a bun roll it in lettuce leaves, take your favorite low-carb veggies cooked in healthy butter, eat healthy and enjoy the companionship without the weight gain. A little planning and some creative thinking and soon you'll be taking these things in stride. Hang in there, you can do this.

Is that a White Plymouth Rock? I have 5 White Rocks, 5 Barred Rocks, 5 Black Sexlinks, 4 Red Sexlinks, and 8 Rhode Island Reds... all due to start laying soon

Thanks for the suggestions...I could use them! (ps that is a white buff orpington hen...so calm and friendly...a pet!)
