It's a MIRACLE I'm not "stress eating" - read on, oh my faithful, my followers and my friends not yet made...

Stress, stress and MORE stress! (Okay, deep breaths...) Work has been h-e-double-hockey-sticks and the politics of it all seem to creep, seep and sink closer-and-closer to our office.

Short version: interim boss (Aug to present) came in and thought she needed to "fix" things, sucked all the morale out the office, micro-managed our deliverables and obfuscated the guidance gleaned from Mount Olympus. Same sanctimonious bunch who sent her down from "on high" hired (what appears to be, from our 45 minute contact meet-and-greet) a carbon copy. I've put in over 50 applications in the last 161 days (counting, me?).

Rant over.

Hang in there, I always try and fight negativity with positivity. Present what you want to see, that's my motto for my personality anyways :)

I hate stress! my week has been awful and didn't sleep well. I'm telling myself today that I can just let this go and not let this controll me. I'm in charge of how I want to handle the situation and not let it ruin me. I'm going to feel good today! All this will pass .

Ever heard or the herb Ashwagandha? It is supposed to help lower stress levels, anxiety, balance mood. It's best to take an organic variety

It's kinda like telling the Master what to do! Stay focused use the frustration to your advantage!

Here is a video about Ashwaganda, that talks about the many health benefits. Note that coritisol, the stress hormone is discussed. Ashwaghanda balances out cortisol levels. https://www.youtube.com/watch?time_continue=82&v=T9bLfP4lhJc

I've been away a LONG TIME. Your story rides close to my heart today as you live the work life similar to that of my man with his "supposed" work loads ever growing . This stress does help you to crave food for relaxing. I am happy to see you haven't caved( I forgive you if you do).I think the fact that you are still smiling says you have a hold on things. Stay strong. BTW, Great background topic.

It used to be, that if a company was intolerable, we could and would just quit and go find another job. There a lots of reasons for the change. Sadly. I support what Wantprebabysize said also. Traditional medicine is part of the problems. Herbs are amazing. check my journal entry for more details?

I think that 'smile' is more like a grimace. And yes, I noticed the finger to the head. My aunt uses that same sign when she's stressed... Good luck on the job hunt. In the meantime close your eyes and Breathe..

Just have to remember sometimes. Work is what you make it, just like anything else in this world. Sometimes change is neither welcomed nor expected, but necessary. Maybe what is missing is the rational of why change is taking place.
