Made it through another crisis yesterday. Saturday evening I decided to change the fluorescent bulbs in my main bathroom. It had been flickering for days, maybe weeks but I couldn't figure out how to get to the bulbs. Plastic wouldn't budge. Frame wouldn't budge. Friday I was speaking (mostly listening) to a new lady at the Center. Her son came to pick her up in a uniform indicating he did maintenance for a local golf course. I described the light fixture frame and he told me that I had to push up then it would slide down. So Saturday I got 4 new bulbs. When I pushed up frame it came down. I had no idea the frame weighed a thousand pounds. (I'm female, 72 and have back and shoulder issues.) The frame caught on the shower curtain rod (the kind with the rubber ends that stick up betwee the walls), thank God. I almost fell off the footstool and surely would have had the curtain rod not been there. I got the bulbs in all the while praying that curtain rod would hold. Then I couldn't lift the frame back up. About 5 feet square frame of solid wood of some sort. After many prayers, request for prayers and requests for help, our church's maintenance super finally came over about 4:30 pm Sunday. In 2 minutes or less he was able to lift and reset the frame. I didn't eat lunch until around 4 pm. And I ate in accordance with my plan. So two miracles, maybe three:the curtain rod held, with God's help I didn't allow situation to derail my eating plan and God provided a worker to fix the problem. THANK GOD. He is good,good Father.
