LOL ON the bony butt..sounds like you had a great ride..you need a front light like i have..i have the Bontrager Ion 800 R front light..usb chargable..and the bontrager flare r tail light..both are usb chargable ...my front an rear last a good 2 to 3 hours on high beam..takes about 4 hours to recharge..depending on what beam you use..i often use flash once it gets daylight..so doesnt drain light as bad..an people can see flashing light better...i was leaving at 430am..but since its staying dark longer..i been leaving about 530am..an its usually about 730am or so when i get back..usually 12-13 miles per hour..depending on moood....lol...

For the sake of car drivers and pedestrians, please consider using steady stream. It's a misconception that flashing light is easier to see. Studies (I need to look up the references) have found that steady light is *easier* for car drivers to track; blinking light requires the driver's brain to re-process location information. In addition, the flash option of many of the lights on the market can trigger seizures or "just" migraines in people who are susceptible. Your kilometrage may vary; it's worth considering other aspects of the big picture. For me, finding solutions to battery life problem is more than worth it. --- @WBH, nice job getting out there as far as it went, and the wisdom of getting inside when it was right.
