Hi everyone -
Had my workout today but my trainer didn't show up - he slept in - again. Well, I got upset this time because I think it's disrespectful. The good thing is the guy that is in charge of the place wasn't too happy and he is going to talk to him. So I did the elliptical bike for about an hour. I made arrangements with the trainer to workout tomorrow morning at 7am.

This is the biggest challenge with my "binge eating" personality - constantly adapting to changes and problems - overcoming obstacles WITHOUT binge eating to deal with it. Dealing with disappointment, stresses, holidays with tons of food, Halloween with candy, and work stress all without turning to food for comfort, strength, and support. Fat Secret is all about support and I am grateful I have this network of online friends to help me out!

Today is a fasting day - 8:30 am to 8:30 am. Although, I think I will only do 22 hours because I usually eat 2 egg whites this morning before my workout or I get nauseous. This morning I was nuts trying to crack these eggs - I had yellow all over the place. LOL

I hope everyone makes a good day! I have a long day of work ahead but I'm grateful I have a job that's flexible and people are nice. :)

Have you ever looked into some DVD's instead. Beachbody has loads of different ones to accommodate different people's fitness level & goals. They are cheaper & always there on time...lol. Good luck with your fast! Love the gratefulness!!!!! Have an amazing day! 💖🌞

H no! I can't believe that! Man I wouldn't trust that guy as far as I could throw him. What a negative approach to training IMO. You're handling it well.

I would be pretty pissed too. Shows how much he values his time over yours. And don't listen to your lizard brain! So many other ways to deal with stresses that are much more enjoyable than binging

Demand a refund!

^^^Phil plus it's just plain rude of him. If they can't/won't refund money for a no show, they should add a session on your plan and let you pick a new trainer.

rude of the trainer, not you Phil!

Thanks for the support! I did the bike for an hour and I am going to take a walk at lunchtime (finally stopped raining but it's still cold!). I think that the gym "manager" is going to have a discussion with him about it b/c he could potentially get kicked out and this is his primary income method. I can look into some DVDs - I tried to do Richard Simmons which I always thought was the easiest darn ones you could do b/c it's meant for overweight people and i had a hard time b/c of the back and forth (hard on my bum knees and ankle). Well, I am getting a make-up session tomorrow morning at 7. The last time he was late all of the other trainers in the gym busted his chops for a couple weeks so I am surprised he did it again. Now, to be fair, I used to be late for work all the time, so I know what that is like. BUT my manager laid it out for me and I knew I was short in my job if I didn't correct the problem, and I did. Since I have been losing weight and working out I feel 100 times better with more energy and better mood.

I am not sure of the specific terms of your contract, Shelly, but if the trainer was hired through an established fitness center you probably have a written contract that spells out what happens in the event either party breaks the contract or does not meet up to their obligations. I suggest that you review it and take steps to follow it because in many cases if you are a "nice guy" (or gal) and let it go, you may void your options to take actions. I have to compliment you on taking steps on your own without the trainer to still workout. It shows a lot of dedication and determination on your part.

I am looking at it as a way to exercise dealing with stress without bingeing. I think I would have handled it the same way you are. If it happens again, it will be better to work with someone else, though. I am proud of you, you level headed winner!
