Start Weight
183.4 lb
Lost so far: 3.1 lb

Current Weight
186.5 lb
Performance: gaining 1.1 lb a week

Goal Weight
170.0 lb
Still to go: 16.5 lb
I'm a 6'0" M, 32 yo, native of Chicago, went to Purdue, moved to Indy, and now living in Southern Indiana. I'm a father of 2 beautiful and sweet girls and have every intent to be there for them for as long as I live.

I called my weight gains quits when I hit 225lbs. After joining what seems like a decade ago, and for the last year (2015) I've been hovering around the 190-200 lb range (8/2016) and am now ready to get back to what I see myself being and who I want to be. (Reference goal statement below)

Both through deep research and active experimenting, I hope to find the right path to get where I need to go. I'm not stopping until I get to the end goal!

BMR: Based on actual results estimated to be 2,610

Calorie goal is to be 900 under TDEE so 1,700 kcal

Macro goals: 30% protein or 130 grams. Fat and cabs just fall in place.

Goal Restatement 2/2/2017:
"On March 31, 2017, I maintain my ideal weight and health by measuring a 10-12% body fat and 32 inch waist. I do HIIT exercise a minimum of 3 days a week and focus on increasing muscle strength and general mobility. I eat in a simply structured manner with focus on lean meats, substantial vegetables, and minimally processed food. My ultimate goals are to lead a medically healthy (low cholesterol, good BP, etc.) lifestyle and consistently monitor those results to help in personal longevity and to be a good example."

Sugars (Good or Bad)
Fruits will have affects on you exactly like what Phil said. Think of it more like processed and natural as well. A fruit smoothie can be all "good" fruit, but the process of blending that much fruit together causes a major insulin spike same as a candy bar and what not. I agree with Phil that it can be easier to just cut it out, get to your goal SMARTLY and then start adding things back in and see what works. If you add something in and in a month you're gaining weight about, cut it back.

Subtracting exercise calories from daily total
Are you looking for a net calories? All I ever did was come up with a case metabolism estimate for myself and log it daily on the exercise side, then add in exercise to that. After that it's just a simple math and you can see if you're at deficit, even, or surplus.

--> spacey. That's the hard truth. Any good combo or diet plan is just helping you find a way that works for YOU to get to calories deficit.

Create a Custom Diet
Awesome!! The favorite meals is the one I needed. I forgot all about that. Can you link it to the diet itself?
