I did not get enough sleep last night. There must have been a critter outside because my dog was going crazy. Last time I let him out at night when he was acting that way, he got sprayed by a skunk, so I had to just live with it during the wee hours. Poor, frustrated pup!

I had no motivation to go to the gym today, but I came home and worked at cleaning up the garage. We are surprisingly close to being able to park a car in there! That is my goal because we bring our new Tesla home on Monday.

I did my first workout on the free weights at the gym yesterday. Everything went well, although I can certainly feel that I am working my muscles a little differently! I did get to meet on of the chatty guys that I had sort of been avoiding at the gym. I managed to do my workout while he talked to me, although it does make counting reps a little challenging. He told me that his idea of the perfect workout if 45 minutes of cardio, 45 minutes of resistance training & 45 minutes of socializing. Who has that sort of time?!

I had better to get back to work. If I sit still too long, I am going to drift off to sleep.

How funny adding 45 min of socializing into a workout. I do see people just sitting and chatting often taking up a piece of equipment others would like to use. I found out last weekend, cleaning out the garage equaled lots of steps and sore muscles. I'm waiting for my DD to come get the dining room set still out there so I can get my car back in the garage. LOL. Enjoy your weekend.

45 minutes socializing??? Get an iPod and wear headphones...or you can just wear earbuds tucked into a pocket! He will think you are listening to something besides him! LOL

Even your cell phone, I put on a Pandora station and have one of those armband phone holders and a Bluetooth neck type device with ear buds. I usually only have one ear bud in that way I can hear someone if they do talk to me. I do need to put together a workout music list on my phone from Amazon prime though. That is new to me though, I just did that today as they had a sale for a year's membership.

Often, I meet one of my friends and we have a pleasant chat while we are doing our cardio, making the time fly by. I don't mind socializing as long as I am getting my workout done at the same time, although some days, I will admit, I hide behind my earphone so folks will leave me to it.
