sproe's Journal, 02 April 2015

Had a few days off and did not use it to eat things I shouldn't. I did have a rather large breakfast on Monday while I was getting tires on the car. The restaurant was in walking distance, and I walked around the whole shopping center afterwards so I think I balanced out the extra fat I really didn't need.

Went to the grocery store and bought several types of fruit so I've been having that as snacks for the last few days, which always helps. Tomorrow is my weekly weigh-in day, and I'm actually looking forward to it. Not expecting anything big, but every little loss helps encourage me. Also having time off allowed me to get some things around the house done that I was stressing over and I went back to work today with a better attitude - which of course made for a better day at work.

I used to be such a positive person. I hope as I'm shedding pounds I'm also shedding negative attitude. So I guess I'm working on my mental health as well as my physical health.

It is difficult not to let the scale dictate your attitude! Awareness really helps and so does any little loss!

I agree with "Be Gracious" - your self-worth does not equate to numbers. I do hope you can feel encouraged with the new lifestyle you are choosing! Good work!

Do you like blueberries? Before I started dieting one of my problems was constant snacking at my desk at work. I started buying a pint of blueberries and sitting that on my desk and snacking on that. So good and so much healthier than the junk I was eating before.

It seems to only ones I can get around here are all smushed to begin with, so not very appetizing. I do get the frozen without sugar ones occasionally to put in my oatmeal.
