blurose411's Journal, 07 March 2015

Ok, today is cheat day. I'm not going as haywire as last time but I am going to eat some of the things I've been missing. I just had 2 PB&Js which tasted great but I still used my no sugar add with fiber preserves. So even though the bread did me in I didn't just say screw it all. Dinner I plan to be on par with atkins but I will be having dessert. My daughter got an easy bake oven for christmas and has yet to try it out. She said enough is enough and she is using it today and I have to have some of what she cooks. She has been waiting so long and today is cheat day so how can I tell her no? I weighted myself before I ate so that I can see how today affects my wieght. It will be interesting to find out. We've got a busy day planed but it should be fun. Happy journey everyone!

Some days you have to let go. And to be able to enjoy your daughter's company and have fun with her is worth every ounce. Have a great day!

Well, I'm not looking at this as a temporary diet. For me this is a life style change that I'm just starting. I'm in the process of learning my body better and learning what it can and can't handle without weight becoming an issue again. It seems to me that for this change to be for life then it needs to be realistic right from the get go. That is why right from the start I've built in days where I won't be on par so I can learn how to handle it when these days come. I need to find the answers to the questions of how much can my body absorb without big fluctuations, and how much exercise will I need to make up for really bad days? This is the first time I've REALLY paid attention to what food I put in my mouth. I've gone on diets before but I really wasn't that into them so there was no real progress. This time is different. My mind set has changed. I can't explain why it happened but it did so I'm not going to question it. Thanks for the support.

I agree with you, I am not looking at this as a diet either but a life style change otherwise I will go right back to where I was. I am having cheats too but keeping track so I don't go overboard. Only once in awhile I do allow myself a dinner out with my husband and eat whatever. Drink lots of water today, it seems to help me if I eat a bit too much or what I shouldn't. I was never much a water drinker, only diet coke and coffee. Now I still have my coffee but I no longer miss the coke. In fact I did have one a few weeks ago when we ate out and I really didn't enjoy the taste anymore. Have a great weekend.

Totally agree...when we quit thinking of "dieting" and begin to think healthy lifestyle, we have made a major positive adjustment in our thinking. Have a blessed weekend and a week filled with healthy choices. :)

OMG - I remember "Easy Bake" ovens! Cute...

Yea, they are cute HCB, but I'd rather just teach her how to use the regular oven. It is much easier. My older daughter wanted to get in on the fun so she in now making cup cakes. I just informed my hubby I'm not cooking tonight since I've been in the kitchen all afternoon and still have collard greens to prep for storage. Boy, oh boy.

Darn, Instantcrazy, I was supper busy and only just now saw your request. They have been devoured and no pics taken. They turned out smaller than they were meant to be and they were very sweet. I only ate one and that one was so sweet that it hurt to eat it, but that was only me.
