Last Night's Workout: NONE!

Hit a brick wall in my training, apparently during my run on Monday I strained the ligaments in my left ankle, and unknowingly continued running on the injury. Yesterday some major pain and swelling kicked in and I was unable to do leg day.

It looks like all cardio and lower body training is out until the swelling goes down, then I will have to do some rehab after that before I can load a barbell back on my shoulders.

I'll see if I can still manage to do leg curls and extensions tonight when I do chest, that way I can keep the legs warm.

Going to switch up my upper body training to get the cardio in (super high volume, triple drop sets, and shortened rest periods between sets), and I cant carry weights around, so I will be stuck on machines.

Either way, I won't be taking any time off. No excuses!

If your are going to gym, a pool is a good alternative for a while, once your swelling in your ankle goes down. Also you could use a rowing machine for a while for your cardio where you only use your arms. I've had several ligament tears and they take quite a while to heal. Wishing you a good recovery. Truly, J.J.

Ice and elevate. Don't push it. You're doing well.

The Rowing machine is an excellent idea. Thanks, J.J! I'm sticking to RICE CR, swelling is going down, so I'm hoping I'll at least be able to walk in a couple days. Will nurse the ankle until its ready for some rehab.
