Good Morning, FS Warriors! Well, DW worked some magic and got me into the doctor yesterday. She goes so often that she is on a first name basis with the whole staff. Anyway, as luck would have it, I get back to the examination room and I feel fine - just a little tenderness in the lower left of my back. So he says he thinks I just tweaked a muscle and prescribes a muscle relaxer and a pain med. I told him I still had some vicodin left over from my pinched nerve injury a couple years ago. He looks it up in the chart and it was 4 years ago. Haha, how time flies! I guess I'm not addicted to pain meds if I've taken about 20 pills in 4 years. I told him that if that was all he thought it was, I might as well start running again. He said, "That's what I would do.

Had the Village Board Mtg last night. Mayor resigned from the village board to sit on the county board, and because he can't hold two voting positions, he switched places with the county clerk. So we still benefit from his experience, and hopefully he will still have the time to participate in our little village affairs. You gotta love small town politics!

Not much to report. Went and had my routine semi-annual blood work done this morning. I'm sure I wil be fine. Going to work on finishing up performance documents, and couinting down the days until our Christmas shutdown. Here's wishing everyone a wonamous day! Toodles!

Good to hear that you are feeling better back-wise. Take it easy when you start back to the running. Cheers!

Take care of yourself! Around here if you tell the doc "I think it is a pulled muscle," that is exactly what he puts as a diagnosis. No tests, etc. Hope that isn't the case with you :) Here's to good blood tests! Glad you are feeling a bit better.

Excellent that things resolved without having to have additional testing. Easy going on resuming your runs.

Hi DK, glad your back is better. Strained or pulled back muscles are so painful! I agree that if you suggest things to your Dr, they tend to go in that direction. They shouldn't, & it can cause problems, but trust I know from several experiences that they do. So I never make suggestions to my Dr anymore, I just tell him my symptoms & what it "feels like", etc., & let him figure it out. I don't mean to be a "wet blanket", but it is something to be aware of. Hopefully this won't be the case with you, & you'll be feeling top notch in no time. Good luck with the blood work too!
