Good Evening, FS Warriors! Well, I wasn't going to journal today, but I lied. I didn't run though, so that was true. As most of you know, FedEx lost my Jack Hammer (Demolition Hammer) and now I have to wait for the company to ship me another one. They said they would, but I'm sure I will have to remind them tomorrow. I could have had it on the 10th of September if I had just taken my lazy a$$ up to the Harbor Freight store and thrown it in the back of the truck. Guess I won't do the online thing through them anymore. One of two things happened: either somebody saw it and wanted it more than I did, or the packaging was so Plain Jane and poorly labeled that warehouse workers are sitting on it while they eat their lunch each day.
Nike Facebook support has turned me over to the dreaded Nike phone support. I am willing to pay a reasonable amount to have the watch fixed if that is an option. Otherwise it will go in the trash. I have an older model Garmin GPS Forerunner 201, which has worked perfectly for over 8 years now and still holds a charge all week. The only thing it was lacking was the Heart Rate Monitor feature, which drove me to get the Nike Sportswatch. It really isn't that bad when you wear a separate HR Monitor watch and a GPS watch, but I wasn't satisfied. Haha. Still ain't. I went on eBay and bought the next model up, the Garmin GPS Forerunner 301 with HRM functionality for $75, and that's probably as good and more reliable that the new units costing 3 or 4 times as much. I still don't have any trouble locking onto a GPS satellite with it, and I can upload my data to the computer or online. For running indoors, my treadmill uploads the data also, and even if it didn't, I still have the Nike Sportband with the foot pod that works indoors. So, I am so gadget poor that I just don't know what I'm going to do. Funny isn't it? I've got all these gadgets, and the people out their breaking the speed records don't use any of it. They just get out there and run their a$$es off. LOL! I am able to track every snail's pace moment of every run. But someday, I'll be able to look back on that data when I was a young pup of 64 years old and say, "Man, those were the good ole days!"
Ya'll have a wonderful evenin now, Ya hear! Toodles!
