Journaling late as FS only sporactically lets me on from my iPad! Mom was very disoriented yesterday after the move from the hospital to rehab, crabby & unhappy, but she seems a little more settled this morning. She went on to physical therapy & then wants to nap, so I'll go back to visit this afternoon.
I've been to my workout, and will head out shortly to re-stock some things in her apartment and buy her some sugar free Easter candy. I sent a basket before this all happened, but not sugar free, which is a new thing while she's on a steroid to combat the COPD. They are weaning her off of it, but she needs to continue watching her sugar intake for now. She's the ultimate chocoholic, wanting it after every meal and for snacks along the way. I guess I come by my sugar addiction genetically - LOL!
I've booked my flight home for Sunday, and am getting eager to get back to my life. While it'll be hard to leave my mom, I know she's in good hands here. I'm very comfortable with & confident in the care here.
So off this Easter bunny goes, Hippity hoppity on it's sugar free quest and sugar free ways! I can never say enough what your love & support mean to me, and hope to catch up on journals soon -- I've not read a single one all week, and miss your news dearly! I also can never pray for serenity enough, so will do so again now. And, I'll remind myself throughout this one day, and each one meal, moment, bite, thought & emotion to pray, breathe, log, journal & express my way. I'm so very grateful for each of so very special you, my family & IRL friends, glimmers of my mom as she was before this recent health scare, and having the health & wealth to live this life I love here with mom and soon home with my boys! Xoxox
