Annabelle3117's Journal, 17 April 2014

Good Morning everyone!! Thanks again for the love and support yesterday when I let my 'crazy' run rampant throughout my journal. Better today. Hubs and I resolved our issue, and thanks to a little insight from Pepper (my buddy, not the seasoning) I did conclude that the issue was communication more than dirty dishes. He told me that he is an asshole and needs to stop childishly giving me the silent treatment, I agreed, we laughed.

I did have a mini-binge episode yesterday, it consisted of a bowl of fruity pebbles and a turkey sandwich. Whoa, what a rebel I am. I quickly recovered though, no harm no foul. Also, when noon came and went and I realized that I hadn't done any physical activity I went out to our local reservoir and speed walked 3.5miles before I picked up the lil one from preschool. So that was a victory too, in my professional 'kick-ass at weight loss' opinion.

My weight has been lingering around the 189 that I was twelve days ago. Okay, that's a lie. lol It was up in the nineties for a while but I figured that was from the poorer carb dense choices I had been making. It's been a crappy couple weeks. Either way, I'm at 189 today, hoping for maybe a small loss for my final weigh in tomorrow. That's right, all people partaking in my challenge better prepare for final weigh in's and measurements tomorrow, then we say goodbye to the numbers.

I have some pretty impressive photos I was working on yesterday, before/after style. One from April 2013, and the other from April 2014. Even more surprising is the effect the most recent ten pound loss has had on my mid section. (I take a lot of pictures) From the end of February until now the difference is insane. I have lost ten pounds in that time frame, maybe now that I'm smaller the pounds I lose are more noticeable. Or perhaps I have a lot of what Bella calls Fat to muscle conversion going on. Either way, my belly has shrunk very noticeably. I still don't have the cojones to post these pictures, as they are all 'bikini' style. And pictures posted online can be copied by any creepy person, I don't want to see my before/afters on a nutrisystem commercial, know what I mean? At least not without a very hearty compensation lol. Out of my way, Marie Osmond!

I should go to the gym again today, perhaps I shall. I haven't done my bicycling for the ironman challenge I'm in, so maybe I'll do that. My bodymedia armband keeps me motivated to try to get my calorie burn as high as possible every day, I guess that's a big perk for me. Monday night I hadn't gone to the gym so after dinner I went outside with my daughters jump rope and got my burn on. I also raced her up and down the side walk. It raised my daily calorie burn a couple hundred, and we all know that every calorie counts. :-)

Let have an optimistic Thursday, shall we? Have a great day buddies!

Morning kiddo - you read fantastic and yeah, the communication issues can definitely stall relationships. If only they were as uncomplicated as in the movies, no? I agree you've got a F2MC thing going on right now too. It's tougher to monitor than a simple scale; NB suggested I get one of those BMI measurers but I don't want anything else to become another 'number' for me while I"m working on the 'other things' like finding the value in myself in ways that can't be measured. For what it's worth - I think you could kick Marie's butt. Twice.

Glad you got it resolved. It usually is communication (I should know, I work for a communications company and we're absolutely crap at it!) and talking is the best way to resolve anything. It's good he's admitted the silent treatment is childish and that you could have a laugh about it. We all have our own ways of dealing with these "irritations". My other half mutters under his breath so I can hear him but not what he says then when I ask what it was he says "Nothing". I'm pretty good at slamming things around (it's amazing we have any plates left!) ... oh, and storming off to bed with a book so he has to come to me at bedtime, not the other way round. Ah, the things you learn in 50 years ;-) Have a great Easter Weekend!

I had to read the journal from yesterday today because I had a hard time getting on here yesterday. Sounds like it was a stressful day, glad things are better today! I kept telling my hubby the same thing, why do you get to work and come home and sit on your butt, but when I work all day and come home I have to do all the chores and take care of the kids? Finally one day it clicked and he started doing a lot more things around the house. Now we just have things that we always do, like I always do laundry, he always mows the lawn, and our kids have their chores which has helped too. If marriage didn't have downs to go with the ups it would be boring. :) I'm ready for that challenge to start. I'll get my weigh in and measurements tomorrow morning, then that's it until the challenge is over. One less stress in our lives. :)

Great news on the hubby front. It's so wonderful that you guys building towards better communication. I just had a chance to look at your updated profile picture. You are amazing (as you already know)! I am going to find it hard to come up with excuses about not exercising. I mean I have none that compare (guilt settling in slowly). I did chase the dog around the house this morning but to be honest if you look at our dog he starts running.
